Palmetto Buffalo feels very spongy and has thick leaves. Palmetto has a different look to all other turf varieties. The leaf is waxy and thick, deep green color. It requires less mowing than other varieties of turf. It will require more frequent fertilising to keep the leaves dark green. The plant and root system retains water well in the hotter climate of Queensland. It grows the best in the shade and is prefered by people who want a consistent looking dense cover of turf even under trees and around large structures that create less than 50% of full sun light per day.
