Aussiblue™ Turf

Aussiblue™ couch has the thickest and softest leaf of all couch turf varieties. This grass is a hybrid Blue Couch, chosen because of its dark green color without blue. It makes it perfect for a house yard, industrial rights of way football fields and ovals. Aussiblue™ makes the air cooler and absorbs bright sunlight and gives the space a soft feel. It requires little maintenance however it will need frequent mowing in summer but little or no mowing in winter. Requires only a little fertiliser. It is very hardly drought tolerant and recovers well from heat stress and damage. It resists weeds and disease even pests.

Qualities:

  • Resistant to disease & weed invasion
  • Grows well in 6-7 hours of direct sunlight a day
  • Great for children with the softest leaf on the market

Palmetto Buffalo™ Premium Turf

Palmetto Buffalo™ turf is suitable for home lawns and commercial areas throughout South-East Queensland. This turf provides a lawn grass that has excellent winter colour, and can generally out compete weeds when established.

Qualities:

  • Good shade tolerance
  • Wide springy leaf
  • Thick cover
  • Don’t need to be mowed as much as other grasses
  • Medium water

Kikuyu Turf

Predominantly used in towns such as Maleny, Peachester, Mount Mee and Toowoomba, Whittet Kikuyu is a deep-rooted, self-repairing grass. It forms a dense mat/carpet and spreads by stolons, which creep both above and below the soil surface. It is predominantly spring summer active with a very small amount of winter growth.

Qualities:

  • Good shade tolerance
  • Dark green color
  • Recovers well from traffic damage
  • Very low water requirements
  • Vigorous grower in the warmer months
